Review – The Dom who Loved Me & The Men with the Golden Cuffs by Lexi Blake

I just finished reading the two books in the series so far and will be waiting for the next one to come out this fall.

The Dom Who Loved Me (1)

A routine mission … turns into a dangerous seduction. Sean Taggart is hunting a deadly terrorist, and his only lead is the lovely Grace Hawthorne. She’s the executive assistant for an employment agency Sean suspects is a front for illegal activities. To get the truth, he is going to have to get very close to Grace, a task he is all too eager to undertake when he discovers her deliciously submissive nature. Soon, Grace Hawthorne is living a double life. By day, she is the widowed mother of two college-aged sons. By night, she submits to Sean’s every dark desire. She’s living out her wildest fantasies of pleasure—intimate acts of trust she’s only read about. As passion engulfs her, a murderer strikes, and Grace learns that Sean has a deeply hidden agenda. Will Sean choose his mission and break her heart or be the Master of her dreams?

My Thoughts:

It took me a while to get into this one I understand that sometimes the first books in series are just not as captivating as the others because it kind of has to set up the whole series for everyone. But there were parts that I did enjoy! I love that age was never an issue in the whole thing and that he could look at her and never did he make her feel not enough. I caught myself wishing that I could have a Sean of my own. Especially when he is in the kitchen! nothing better than a man who loves to cook! I was upset with him just a little at the ending of the book. I wanted to just tell him that things NEVER work out how you plan in life EVER! but then I had to remind myself that it is a book haha.

The Men With The Golden Cuffs (2)

A woman in danger… Serena Brooks is a bestselling author of erotic fiction. She knows how to write a happy ending but hasn’t managed to find one of her own. Divorced and alone, she has no one to turn to when a stalker begins to threaten her life. The cops don’t believe her. Her ex-husband thinks she’s making the whole story up. She has no one left to turn to except a pair of hired bodyguards. They promise to guard her body, but no one can protect her heart. Two men in search of love… Adam Miles and Jacob Dean are halves of a whole. They’ve spent their entire adult lives searching for the one woman who can handle them both. Adam is the playful, indulgent lover, while Jacob is the possessive, loving Dom. When Serena comes into their lives, Adam is certain that she’s the one. But Jacob’s past comes back to haunt them all. He is suspicious of Serena’s story, and his concerns are driving a wedge between him and Adam. But when the stalker strikes, they will have to come together or lose each other forever…

My Thoughts:

I liked this one better than the first one personally. I loved the boys and they were just so different I mean I got that they were each others opposites in the first book but I didn’t realise how different they were until I got into this book. I loved everything about them together. I was at some points of the book laughing because they did crack me up when all the guys got together. I get that men are just so different them women and when they had them close down (well Jake) I could relate because well I know many guys who just close themselves off emotionally. I enjoyed the story as whole and can’t wait till Liam’s story comes out next.. I am excited for Ian’s story but I have a feeling he will be last since he is the best damn Dom! 😉

A Dom Is Forever (3) coming out fall 2012

Liam O’Donnell fled his native Ireland years ago after one of his missions ended in tragedy and he is accused of killing several of his fellow agents. Shrouded in mystery, Liam can’t remember that fateful night. He came to the United States in disgrace, seeking redemption for crimes he may or may not have committed. But the hunt for an international terrorist leads him to London and right back into the world he left behind.

About Momma's Books

Found my new love for books when a good friend sent me the Sookie books and I was stuck in a paranormal state and only wanted that then I came across Shayla Black and read her Wicked Lovers Series which got me into the contemporary romance with a "twist" and since then I have just been a reading fanatic! And LOVE every minute of my escape from reality. View all posts by Momma's Books
