10 synopsis

Chloe hasn’t had the best life. With a mother who is gone more often than not, she has had to raise herself. After graduating high school, she leaves to start a new life away at West Virginia University with her best friends Amber and Logan, determined to leave her demons in the past.

On her first day, she meets a stranger who takes her breath away at first sight. Until she met Drake, no one had ever sparked her interest. Now this tattooed and pierced bad boy is all she can think about, no matter how hard she fights it.

Falling for Drake was never part of her plans, but when it happens, things seem to do anything but fall into place.

Dealing with a tragic past, Drake has never cared about anyone else but himself and his band. But when Chloe takes the empty seat next to him in class, things start to change. Instantly drawn to her, he begins to wonder if one girl can take a cold hearted womanizer and change every part of him?

Long hidden feelings are revealed and friendships tested to the brink.

Review

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one for the main reason that most of the new age books that I have read are all pretty much the same. I can’t say THANK YOU enough to K.A. Robinson for NOT making Chloe a virgin!! Not that I have anything against girls who are virgins in college but so many books have the girl loosing it to the bad boy in college. So this was the first thing that I am thankful for!

Second, it is a love triangle! I usually am not a huge fan of them but this one is written so well. I have to say that I never felt like I hated her or the guys. Some books I have read I usually end up hating the girl because she knows she is wrong and she doesn’t care. This one, well things just happen and are not intentional, she isn’t trying to sneak around that is yet another thing I enjoyed. I am tired of reading about these girls who whore around on their boyfriends and don’t care, they try to hide it and meet with the guys to have sex and don’t care who they hurt because all they care about is themselves.

I will have to say that this one pulled me in and I enjoyed it. I knew in my heart who I wanted for her. I knew who was right for her, it just took her a while to figure that out on her own. I kept telling her as I was reading but she wouldn’t listen to me. Who doesn’t love an over protective good guy who just cares so much for the girl I do, okay but not as much as I LOVE me a pierced, tatted up, bad boy rocker!!!! 😉

There is a cliffhanger but the second book is already out so that is not too bad, I don’t have to wait to find out what happens.

If you enjoy an angst filled love triangle mixed with some other issues she has from her life growing up, well this is for you. I wasn’t sure how well the book would come across because there was so much going on in it but it was done well! I would recommend it! Like I said I am usually not a huge fan of love triangles but this one had me. Once I started I couldn’t stop, it took me about 10 hours to finish the book. That’s with stopping to make lunch and dinner and running errands. 🙂 When I find something that sucks me in I will read ANY free time I have!

Warning: This is not a story about fate or destiny. This is a story about pain, sorrow, and suffering. This is an impulsive whirlwind romance between two lovers that are not meant to be together. Theirs is not a world with sunshine and roses. Instead, their love blossoms in a secret world full of crime, violence, and death. Their story is about what can be born from nightmares.

A sweet and beautiful girl, she loses her way, searching for things that are always out of her reach. Erik “Ripper” Jacobs is the Sergeant of Arms in the Hell’s Horsemen. Once a man who always had a smile on his face, his life takes a turn for the worst when a tragedy befalls him, leaving him scarred and broken. During a midsummer night, Danny and Ripper’s paths cross, forever changing their lives. Hastily, their lust turns to love until another tragedy forces them apart. On a journey that is marred with ugliness and chaos, Danny and Ripper must discover if their unforeseen connection can find the beauty in their world.

This is Danny and Ripper’s story.

Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.
Because without ugly, there would be no beauty.

Review

What can I say? WOW.

I loved book one and loved this one as well! I have to say that this one just broke my heart at quite a few parts. I have absolutely fallen in love with this MC and all the boys! I cannot get enough! I just wish I could get more but now I have to wait.

I said it before that these books may not be for everyone, there is a lot of cursing, a lot of name calling, and well if you have not read her Undeniable series then you just don’t know. For those of you who have read them you know! 😉

That being said…I loved it all. I have to say it was fun to have something that is so to what in my mind motorcycle clubs are. It may not be reality but I do know I love this series so far and look forward to reading all in this series. I just can’t get enough.

I was curious as to where it was going to go with Ripper and Danny and well we all know that Deuce will castrate him if he finds out what is going on right? Well you will have to just read to find out what exactly happens.

The whole storyline is similar to the first book with the young girl who has a thing for an older man. BUT that for me was where the similarities ended.  There were so many moments that had my heart breaking for one person and another and two more! This one pretty much picks up where the first left off which I loved I didn’t want to miss ANY DAMN THING!!!

I don’t know why I loved it so damn much, call me sick if you must but I just absolutely love her writing with this series. It is so different from what I normally read and for that I love her! She is all on her own level.

Okay back to the book. I will say that I love that we get a little of all the guys. I like that we don’t feel like we are only getting just one guy and one guy alone, we get all the brothers. It is mostly about Danny and Ripper yes but I love family saga kind of books and agree or not this is what this is to some extent. We get a little of all the guys with a majority of one in particular in each book.. I absolutely love when series do this when I love all the characters!

I could go on and on about how much I absolutely love this series, but you have to read it to truly love it. If bikers are what you are looking for some badass bikers at that… This is the series for you.

~ “The usual,” he said nonchalantly. “Fuckin‘ whores and killin‘ puppies.”

~ “Shut your stupid Mexican mouth!”

Cox glared at her. “Bitch, I’m Puerto Rican!”

…”Whatever don’t you have some lawns to mow?”…

…”No, Bitch, fuck you! I’m fuckin‘ Puerto Rickan! Say it, Kami, say Puerto Rican!”

Review – Willing Victim by Cara McKenna

GOODREADS DESCRIPTION:

For the past couple years Laurel’s been coasting, hiding in the backseat while her life drifts off course. Then one summer afternoon a tall, built bruiser named Flynn strides in and steers her straight into an infatuation she never saw coming.Flynn introduces Laurel to things she’s never imagined-to the violent but exciting realm of the underground boxing circuit, to rough sex and even rougher role-playing, and to an attraction she craves even as it intimidates her. As Flynn invites her deeper into his world and his life, Laurel has to make a choice-let fear keep her holed up where it’s safe, or take a chance and fight for the man who makes her feel more alive than she’d dreamed possible.Reader Advisory: Although all sex acts are 100-percent consensual, Willing Victim contains role-playing scenarios that may upset some readers who are sensitive about rape, even in a simulated capacity.

MY THOUGHTS:

Honestly I LOVED this one! For me the ONLY problem that I had was that it was too short it ended just when it was starting to get good! I have always been a fan of the rougher sex in erotic books I enjoy the soft and sensual also but this was a nice break from that. There were moments of sweetness that were nice. I just loved when Flynn turned into this animal. And well there was a funny moment that had me:

“You ever been in a fight?” he asked.
“Not a proper fight…I got detention for kicking Shelly Walker in the butt with my muddy boot when I was in fourth grade.”
Flynn laughed. “What’d she do to deserve it?”
She smiled sown at her hand. “I think she badmouthed Joey McIntyre or something. I was a hardcore New Kids fan.”
Flynn made an amused, judging face. “I hope it was worth it.”
“Oh yes. Nobody puts Joey Mac down and gets away with it.”

haha ahhh my NKOTB!! I really wish she would make another book for them I would LOVE to read more!!!

Charlie can’t let go of Kate because she’s the only woman able to see the man he wants to be.But the price of fame is high and when the world wants to drive them apart, life only seems safe in Kate’s bed.

MY THOUGHTS:

WOW! It took me a minute to get used to the british way of speaking but I LOVED this story it had me from the very start. I loved the banter between the two and the hotness and the connection! It is a great story of second chances. Kate has some of the best advice for Charlie and I just loved reading their whole interaction. They are both so broken and lost and you cant help but feel your heart break for them as they talk about their lives. You just want to take in both of them and hug them. I honestly didnt find anything about this book that I didnt like. I couldnt put it down. And when I had to I couldnt stop thinking about it and wanted to know what was going to happen. Then when it got to the ending FORGET it! There was nothing that was going to keep me from reading I got little sleep becuase I got so worked up and got my blood running because I wanted to kill some people. There is so much in this book that will keep you on edge. And it doesnt dissapoint. I had to and I did pass this book onto my friends because it needed to be shared!!
