Review

Got to say. The cover is pretty hot and I was instantly drawn in. For the most part I was not disappointed. I am a fan of MMA fighting so that aspect was very interesting to read it when I usually watch it.

I liked how the two of them met that was just to fun I thought. She was pretty bold for the most part when she was checking on him after the first fight. I honestly never would have thought she would have been the type to just lean over and kiss a scar. Especially the more you read and get to know her. I mean where did that boldness go when she needed it?

Now on to him, okay I loved him for the most part. I did kind of have a bit of an issue with his insecurity. I don’t know what else to call it. I would say possessiveness but I just can’t seem to do that it screamed insecure to me. I mean he would get angry if men looked at her. He had anger issues also. Haha. And that was just a bit much at times.

The two of them together well it was cute I do have to say. She had a way with him that no other did. It was a mix of sweet and fun. She was so silly with him at times and that cracked me up. I am sure some may call it childish but I break out in randomness at times and just say some of the weirdest things, so for me that was believable 🙂

Last and not least I have to talk about the sex. Okay for me it was just awkward at times. I think the safe word could have been left out. And then adding in BDSM I get that it is the hottest thing because of other books but it just didn’t come across that well for me. He seemed so untrained and not 100% there as a Dom, to be kinky is one thing and you can do that without trying to bring in BDSM. It just seemed strange at times. Don’t get me wrong there were some parts that were hot. But the motorcycle scene was a bit on the “I’m not sold he is good at this” side.

Overall I absolutely loved the banter between the guys it was fun and it was sweet at times. There is an overall sweetness between him and her that is present. I do have to say when I finished, overall I did enjoy it.

Review

So I have seen this all over the place and for the most part it has good review ratings so I thought why not right?! I have to say I would agree with the majority. I enjoyed the story.

This was a funny, sweet, HOT and pretty quick read. She was what I picture as the typical New Yorker. I loved the smart mouth she had on her.

And some of those scenes oh my goodness they were pretty damn hot and X rated for sure.

I do understand that it is fiction but I really am not a big fan of people falling in love so quickly. To me a week just isn’t long enough to really know that. Or at least I don’t believe it is. There was that and … Okay don’t hate me for this one but I have a hard time reading about a man who is “uncut”. It won’t make me stop reading a book it doesn’t completely kill it for me but it does kind of give me the heebie geebies. Nothing against men who are uncircumcised but it just isn’t my first choice. That in part may be partly because I have never been with one (yes I know TMI).

Overall it was very sweet and cute. It had moments that were funny as well. It was entertaining reading about these to struggling for the upper hand. I think for me out of the 4 best friends (Taddy, Lex, Blake, Vive) Vive is the one I am the most excited to read about once her book is out!

Review

I got a message from the author asking if I would like to read and review their book. I read the synopsis and said sure. I will admit though I was not going into this positive that I would like it. Because if you have read my review on another love triangle you know that I am kind of not feeling them. BUT that being said I did enjoy this one more than I thought I would. There is so much that I didn’t honestly know what was going to happen.

Okay so, the beginning…that completely threw me. I was completely lost for a minute. I have come to understand that I do not usually care for prologues. Some give away too much, some are just pointless, some like this one confuse the hell out of me. I understand that sometimes I am slow. 🙂 The prologue was in the point of view of a guy. SO when I got to the first chapter I thought that was the point of view I was reading from. Then I figured out that I was wrong, so I went back and started it again. I will say that both men, Kevin and Roman were infuriating! I couldn’t understand what she found attractive in either one of them. Instantly I wanted to run from Roman, and I couldn’t understand what she saw in him, but there is something about a man who carries himself in such a way that you know he is confident. Then you have Kevin, he was fun, even sweet at times. Others, well he was just an ass. So when you have a girl who is so broken and lost because she lost the one man she loved and adored (her father). I can see how being sucked in by either one of these two can happen. They both give something to her that make her feel.

I have to say that there were so many things that Roman did that screamed RED FLAG. I just wanted to scream at her to run and run fast! But he made her feel something, something that she wanted and only he seemed to provide. Kevin was being weird with her, he wasn’t stepping up at first, otherwise I am sure she would have been with him… RIGHT????? Who knows. I just know that between the two of them I was so upset and did have to put the book down at some points because I wanted to just grab her and shake her and ask… “What is wrong with you? How did you NOT see that coming?”

I don’t want to give away too much but let’s just say that I was getting to the point where I was not looking forward to what was going to come because I thought I had an idea where it was going, then…BAM. Something I had no idea was coming. Something that had me questioning how I didn’t see it. I was just at a loss and left wanting to know what the hell “that” was all about.

I will read what’s next because I just have to know what the hell is going to happen. I need to know more about both Roman and Kevin. Why some things were done and not done.

Review

I enjoyed it from the get go! I think in reality it would be awesome to have some rich guy come and invite me to play this little game with them haha.

Okay let me start off by saying I am getting really tired of EVERY  BDSM book being compared to fifty shades! Fifty shades is NOT BDSM, yes there is kink but a Dom he was not! SO please can everyone STOP holding fifty shades up to this high standard that it really shouldn’t be held to. This book was good on its own merit! I did not once think of fifty when reading it, it wasn’t until I was getting ready to mark it down as read on goodreads did I see the fifty references. There really isn’t any ‘Master’ or ‘Sir’ stuff going on. He just likes to be in control. The only way one can make comparisons would be the millionaire man with a naive girl. So if that is what you are looking for this has that!

There is so much to this story.

He is very secretive about who he is. There is a dark edginess to him that drew me in immediately but at the same time he is very confident in who he is as a man. That in itself is attractive.  I have to say that some of the things he had her do were beyond hot! I couldn’t put this one down I wanted to know what was next. I wanted to know what he was going to have her do next. She is new to all this and has come to realize that she has been missing out on and wants more.

You get to go on this fun little journey where she gets a taste of domination, and finds out that she enjoys it more than she probably should.

“Every girl dreams she’ll be the one who catches his eye, who catches his heart.

Do any of them dream of being the one who’s caught?”

I have always been a huge fan of BDSM books because of the power exchange the dominant having it, the submissive giving up control. It always has been my favorite genre of books.  For the most part it probably is because of moments like this…

“…when I’m with him, all the attention is on me. It’s all about my needs, my desires. I’m the one who gets off. He said I’m going to have to earn the privilege of his cock.”

Who wouldn’t want to read this??

I am looking forward to the next one! And the ending…yeah there were a few twists that were thrown in there for good measure and well had me completely at a loss. I wasn’t sure exactly what happened or why, but will find out hopefully in the next book.

The title of the book holds true. If you are expecting this to go fast and get right to the sex between the two of them then you will not enjoy this one. It takes time for him to get her where he wants her oh the build up and anticipation!

To end it all…This is a girl who does things with a stranger, a man she doesn’t even know his name. So if something like that would drive you nuts than this might not be for you. That and there IS a cliffhanger at the end of this one. I know some do not enjoy them but I do from time to time.

Review – Bettie Page Presents: The Librarian by Logan Belle

Blurb:

Inspired by the story of the iconic Bettie Page, Logan Belle’s sizzling erotic novel explores the transformation of Regina Finch from shy librarian to the object of one powerful man’s all-consuming desire.

Regina Finch, brilliant and bookish, has worked her way up to her dream job as a librarian at the Main Branch of the New York Public Library. But her discovery of the sordid sexual adventures of a rakish, young billionaire among the hallowed halls and sacred stacks of the library unleashes a confusing blend of repulsion and desire that threatens to consume her. It is only through her introduction to the work of Bettie Page—the world’s most popular ingÉnue-turned-fetish-model—and Page’s own sexual awakening that Regina can hope to discover her sexual prowess and seduce the man she loves.

My Thoughts:

Okay I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this one or not because I have not yet read any book that has to do with librarians; but I got it from NetGalley and it was erotic so I figured why not! I actually was surprised and really did enjoy it! I will never look at libraries the same again 🙂 It has BDSM but it isn’t overbearing so those who are still dipping their toes into it this would be an okay read. It is the typical millionaire who wants the girl and the girl resists. To be honest no matter how many times I read these types of books I always seem to enjoy them. But it is always fun to read about a girl who is new to the submission and is learning it is everything they never knew they wanted. Just like when Sebastian is trying to explain the intensity of Dominance/Submission because she is not understanding why she is feeling the way she does…

“If it’s not intense, why do it? At least, that’s the way I feel.” (S)

“I can’t believe that being physically uncomfortable can be turned into feeling good. its just…strange.” (R)

“But it isn’t, if you think about it. we have to experience contrast to feel anything fully. sadness or happiness, work or relaxation, solitude or connection with other people what is one without the other? We wouldn’t know.” (S)

I have never heard it explained so well. I have read a lot of BDSM books and some of them do a good job explaining the ways of the lifestyle for those who are more vanilla and are reading these stories and would like more of an understanding as to why people choose this lifestyle.

I enjoyed watching this quiet blend in with the crowd kind of girl find herself and realize that yes she is beautiful and desirable. I would love to find out that there is another to follow-up with this one to let us know what exactly happens or even if there was not going to be another book to have put an epilogue at the ending to help wrap everything up because I did feel like I was left with questions still.. but I did enjoy her writing. To be completely honest I loved the fact that as I was reading I didn’t have to worry about “her folds” coming up because it didn’t or “his member”. I mean I am not an author by any means and I don’t turn a book away just because of that but I realized after I finished that not once did those explanations of their body parts come up. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author!

Review – The Dom’s Dungeon by Cherise Sinclair

GOODREADS DESCRIPTION:

Foster child. Teenage whore. Now a veterinarian, MacKensie’s turned her life around, but the scars remain. She saves her affection for the animals who never judge or scorn her, but it’s time to get out, move on from her past in Iowa. So, she arranges a vacation exchange to job hunt in Seattle.

Although the house is lovely, one room is locked. Her years in foster care have given her two ‘gifts’: a neurosis about locked doors and the ability to open them. After she gets into the room, she’s appalled…and intrigued. Chains and manacles, whips and paddles, odd benches with straps…

When Alex returns home days early and finds MacKensie draped over the spanking bench in his locked dungeon, he’s furious. But her wariness arouses his protective nature and curiosity, so he strikes a deal to keep her close–she’ll act as his submissive in exchange for a place to stay and help finding a job.

He’d planned to use the veterinarian to deter an ex-girlfriend, not replace her, but with MacKensie’s compelling mixture of strength and vulnerability, the little sub slides right into his well-defended heart.

MY THOUGHTS:

I finally got around to reading this one and as a stand alone book I did enjoy this one but I do LOVE when she does a series. This one was different because for the girl she associated spanking with someone who loves you because growing up in foster care only the kids who were loved got spanked. I didn’t understand that at first but Alex was absolutely amazing with her. He is just a great Dom!

“I wouldn’t do this if i didn’t care, but you mean everything to me, and if this is what you need, then this is what you’ll get. But we’re damned well going to work on changing this association between caring and spanking.”

Well lets face it Cherise Sinclair does an amazing job when she writes about her Dom’s they are the most perfect in every way, leaves us all wondering if there is such a man out there.. haha which is why I LOVE to read her books!

There is just such a connection between the two of them that is always so fun to read about. To think that someone can instantly feel something for another person and know that more will come from it and it will only get better as you go.

He does a great job introducing Mac into a bunch of new things. It is always so much fun reading Mrs. Sinclair’s books!
